Answers to frequently asked questions

• What courses are there at the TUC and where can I find the implementing regulations?

  You can find an overview of all study programmes here. After selecting a degree programme, you will find all relevant documents (APO / AFB etc.) on the right-hand side

• Where can I find the campus map?

  You can find the campus map here.

• Where can I find all relevant dates and deadlines that are important for my studies?

  The semester dates (from when to when do the lectures go on, when does the semester end etc.) can be found here. The examination dates and examination periods are published here.

• How do I get my data center access data and what do I use them for?

  You will either receive the access data by mail after the enrolment at the TUC is completed. You will need them for the internet access in the dormitories, as well as for the StudIP and the study portal.

• What exactly is the StudIP?

  In StudIP you will not only find all lectures offered at the TUC, but you can also register for them and thus have access to uploaded documents as well as a schedule of the lecture and much more. You can log in to StudIP with your RZ access data. You can find it here.

• What is the study portal?

  In the study portal you can change your contact details, download important documents relevant to your studies (certificate of enrolment etc.) and also register for exams. You can find more detailed instructions here.

• What are the important abbreviations and what do they mean?
  • AFB = Implementing provisions
  • APO = General examination regulations
  • IZC = International Centre Clausthal
  • RZ = computer centre
  • C.t. = Cum tempore (with time). The lecture starts 15 minutes later than indicated
