Crediting from an apprenticeship
The following procedure must be followed when applying for crediting.
What to do?
- Contact Ms. Balthaus - Central Student Advisory Service.
- Have all training certificates ready, especially vocational school certificates
- Have IHK certificates ready, if available
You will then receive the following documents from Ms. Balthaus:
- Application form(statement from the specialist lecturer) also with examples
- Framework curriculum for the training occupation, if this is available from the KMK
- Current module handbook of the respective degree program
Things that need to be done now:
- Read the module handbook carefully to identify content that you are familiar with from your training
- Fill out a separate application form for each identified module - the subject lecturer's statement.
- On each application, please be sure to write out the learning fields (taken from the framework curriculum) and attach a copy of the content
Send to the module supervisor:
- Please then independently send the application for a statement to the respective module supervisor by e-mail, including all certificates in the attachment
Preparation for forwarding to the examination office
When all statements from the lecturers have been received:
- Submit the complete application for recognition: Download here!
- Obtain certified copies of all certificates (including interim certificates) from your studies
Submit the application to the Examination Office
- Submit the complete package to the examination office
- All statements from the subject lecturers with the corresponding results
- Certified copies of all certificates
- Framework curriculum as PDF by e-mail
- completed application form
Decision on creditability
The final decision on crediting is the responsibility of the responsible examination board
